Facebook or Myspace? What's Better?

Well, the title is obvious. But, I'm wondering what is more accessible? Which one can you find the most people you know? I want to get on one of these, but I don't know which one to be on. Thanks in advance for your input.

Most people on this site seem to prefer Facebook because they say it's more accessible, but personally I like Myspace better. It's true that people can load up their sites with flash and layouts with animation and all sorts of other things that will slow down screen readers (or at least Jaws), but as far as finding, adding, and organizing people goes, I've found it to be much easier. I used to prefer it because it didn't have all the applications that Facebook has, but now it does, so you'll get that either way. But, if this type of thing matters to you, Facebook has come much much further in terms of capcha. It used to be that there was just the image one to sign up, and you could e-mail them and tell them your problem and they'd usually get your account set up for you within the day, but now there's audio capcha whenever it's needed, so that's nice. Tons of people have written to the Myspace staff about the same thing and gotten no response, and depending on the settings of the user in question, there can be more capcha than you'd probably like to deal with and it's not accessible at all. It's never bothered me because I live in a mostly sighted environment and can usually find someone to help if needed, but I know it's important to some.

Basically, it's just down to preference. Facebook has the accessible capcha and less of it, generally, all the tons of applications/superwall/et cetera, and only one basic layout and I don't think it allows you to add music. Myspace has very unresponsive staff, fewer applications, generally, too many different customizable layouts than I can even imagine, and the ability to add music which you can no longer just press a button to stop. There is a setting in your own acount to turn it all off, though. I've always had the problem of Facebook being way, way too slow to load all its different pages, which isn't really a problem if you have the patience to wait for it, but I don't. Lol. Other people will have to tell you any other merits of Facebook, since I only use Myspace now. End ramble.

I agree with the last post. I used to use myspace, but when y account got hacked for the third of fourth time i just said fuck it, and canceled. it I have had my facebook for nearly a year, and no hacks whatsoever. Also, another thing I don't like about myspace is teh display names. I have no cluse who u r if your name I heart cheese or something. O, its u? Yeah it was me. U didn't see my picture? uh...no? Facebook people actualy use their real names, so I know whose requesting me. Just my thoughts, but like the last poster said, it al comes down to preference, and what u want out of the site.

facebook over myspace, it's easier to navigate, everything is done with headings unlike myspace, there is only one caption and that is when you sign up for it, and there are more fun applications on there. and you don't have to play a guessing game to know who people are. they don't allow you to use fake names, but that is because it is a social networking site. not that Myspace sin't, but what ever.

Aww I love myspace. I like those tags you can use for your name. It just seems more creative in my oppinion. I usually can tell who people are by reading their profile. But like Chelsea said, facebook is more accessible but I too don't use it. I love the myspace blog, I use it quite offten. You are able to customize it to display differently which is pretty cool. You can imbed a player on to your myspace page if you don't want to use the myspace player too. I haven't figured out how to do that because I like the weirdest music and can't find a lot of it on myspace. I don't know enough html to decorate my page so it looks very plain but I can't see it anyway so it doesn't matter much to me. Basicly, it's what you prefer. The thing I find annoying about myspace is the fact you can't change your password without sighted help because of the capcha but I don't change it offten enough for it to be a problem. If you do end up with a myspace account, there are quite a few of us who use it too so we all can help each other as far as tips on how to navigate the page.

Well, I just singned up on facebook, and I like it. It seems to work ok with Pac Mate, for the most part, and I'm getting a new computer, so I will try it on there, too.

The thing u wanna keep in mind with facebook, is just to navigate by headings. That will save u a lot of time.
